'MeadowAnchor started with a humble vision: to introduce authentic Neapolitan pizza to Rome. The Romano family established our pizza shop in 1985, a small venture rooted in family with recipes passed down for generations.
Tony Romano, the original founder, mastered pizza crafting during her time in Italy, learning from esteemed pizzaiolos in Naples, where pizza originated. When she came back to the UK, her mission was to replicate the essence of genuine Italian pizza, sticking to traditional methods and sourcing only the best ingredients.
Our beginnings as a quaint 12-seat pizzeria have expanded to become a cherished community spot, yet we've preserved our dedication to excellence and authenticity. We maintain time-honored wood-fired oven baking, prepare our dough freshly every day, and seek out top-tier ingredients.
Today, 'MeadowAnchor is still in the hands of the Romano family, with the second generation steering our devoted team. Although we've adopted modern touches, the core of our mission endures: to serve delicious, authentic pizza that unites people.
